Amelie, who is 14, has been training with Michael for the last two years and took over the ride of Evito this last May. Her older sister Christina who also trains with Michael, competes competitively at U25 and 2* and 3* level and has been a big influence on her career.

On her selection Amelie said

“I am so happy about getting selected for the European team, it is a dream come true! I couldn’t have done it without Micheal, my sister Christina, my parents Marc and Miranda, Claire, Amy and most importantly my horses, Precious, Evito and Charity. They have all taught me so much and I would not be at this level without everyone involved. I would like to thank everyone who helped me become the rider I am today.”
